Father's Day cruise around the lake...

I have the good fortune to live on a lake.  Every now and then we take a cruise around and visit with the neighbors.  The last time we made the rounds I didn't bring a camera.  Of course the cranes, eagles and loons were everywhere.  This time I did bring a camera and I did get a photo of some of the locals...

OK, so we met three or four of these majestic Blue Herons, but all I was able to do was catch this one on it's way down range.

LOL... yeah, the eagle had places to go, people to see too...

Ah ha!  A sleeping Loon!

I used a telephoto lens on the ol' Nikon and was sitting in a slowly rocking boat, so burst mode caught only a couple of reasonable pics...

So this morning Hazel was chasing a fawn around, no worries, the fawn caught up with her mom and they scooted past the tree line.  Bleating fawns with the morning coffee, gets the blood pumping!  I ran to the door to make sure Hazel wasn't going to get a doe's hoof to the head!  So far no bears, but summer has just begun.  The garden waking up, fresh veggies are amazing.  The dragon flies have put the misquito outbreak in check and -

Life is so good, I hope all had a wonderful Father's Day.
